Nature and Scope

The Developer role performs analysis and defines functionality for system improvements and new applications. The position manages or leads various phases of the development and maintenance of approved projects.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Designing and implementing Web, mobile, and service-oriented development that works with APIs/Web Services construction, deployment, and maintenance.

2. Participates in defining and implementing technical direction.

3. Selects and implements technical architecture of assigned projects.

4. Performs and/or reviews for assigned projects:

• system analysis

• design

• programming

• testing

• debugging 

• documentation 

5. Works with the support and documentation groups to provide technical, user training and manuals for all system enhancements.

6. Leads or participates in process improvement.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, System/Industrial Engineering or related field, with emphasis of study in systems analysis and design of software solutions required.

2. Required minimum of three years of experience (for each of the following):

• in systems analysis and/or programming with project management or leadership responsibilities 

• with intermediate skills in oral and written communication including analysis, preparation and report presentation.

• communicating, motivating, and organizing projects under tight timelines.

 

OR

1. Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

2. Required minimum of five years of experience (for each of the following):

• in systems analysis and/or programming with project management or leadership responsibilities.

• with personal computers and PC application and development software.

• with structured programming techniques, networking and database methodologies.

• with intermediate skills in oral and written communication including analysis, preparation and report presentation.

• communicating, motivating, and organizing projects under tight timelines.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Experience in airline information systems environment

Bilingual (Spanish)

Willing and able to travel internationally
