Analyst

Nature and Scope

The Analyst position works with the development team, client, and interacts with vendors to understand, document, prioritize, and test the work needed to deliver ecommerce services. H&K follows an agile methodology; therefore, the standard process and artifacts of that needs to be familiar for the Analyst and aligned their work through the lifecycle of projects. The Analyst interacts with all levels of personnel, such as developers and users in assigned client department(s), along with vendors. Incumbent reports to the Program Manager.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Provides documentation, analysis, testing and support for computerized departmental systems and related projects.

2. Analyzes and documents problems, recommends solutions and initiates corrective actions. The Analyst will also reasses the problem resolution and inform the client of their status.

3. Evaluates programs, designs specifications/modifications and acts as a liaison between vendors and clients to fulfill the client's application requirements. Manages appropriate cost-benefits based on enhancements or modifications.

4. Adheres to H&K and client department policies on information security and confidentiality.

5. Provides training and developmental support to client's users while utilizing other staff and technical resources as necessary.

6. Develops objectives through research to ensure quality control of the project applications.

7. Prepares specifications from the vendor's system which is configured and/or program written.

1. Agile driven development project experience

2. Strong written and verbal communication skills to develop, coordinate, and execute requirements, project plans, and software testing

3. Test driven development practice experience

4. Hands on problem solver who enjoys continuous learning and improvement

5. Team player

 

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, System/Industrial Engineering or related field, with emphasis of study in systems analysis and design of software solutions required.

2. Desired experience of one year (for each of the following):

  • in systems analysis and/or programming with project management or leadership responsibilities 

  • with intermediate skills in oral and written communication including analysis, preparation and report presentation.

  • communicating, motivating, and organizing projects under tight timelines.

 

OR

1. Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

2. Required minimum of three years of experience (for each of the following):

  • in systems analysis and/or programming with project management or leadership responsibilities.

  • with personal computers and PC application and development software.

  • with structured programming techniques, networking and database methodologies.

  • with intermediate skills in oral and written communication including analysis, preparation and report presentation.

  • communicating, motivating, and organizing projects under tight timelines.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Experience in airline information systems environment

Bilingual (Spanish)

Willing and able to travel internationally
