Nature and Scope

The Scrum Master position works with the development team, client, and interacts with vendors to organize and manage the work needed to deliver ecommerce services.  H&K follows an agile methodology, therefore, the standard process and artifacts of that will be the responsibility of the Scrum Master to implement, conduct and manage through the life cycle of projects.  Managing daily scrums, status dashboards, backlogs and any unforeseeable concerns that will delay the delivery of a successful project will be critical to this role.  The Scrum Master interacts with all levels of personnel, in particular with users in assigned client department(s), and with vendors.  Incumbent reports to the Program Manager.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Provides project management and support for computerized departmental systems and related projects.

2. Acts as primary contact for all delivery projects, problems and issues. Analyzes and documents problems, recommends solutions and initiates corrective actions. The Scrum Master will also follow up on problem resolution and inform clients of status.

3. Monitors team proficiency in the project management tools and provides on-going guidance. Insures that users are kept informed of all system updates.

4. Evaluates programs, designs specifications/modifications and acts as a liaison between vendors and clients to fulfill the client's application requirements. Manages appropriate cost-benefits based on enhancements or modifications.

5. Adheres to H&K and client department policies on information security and confidentiality.

6. Provides training and developmental support to client's users while utilizing other staff and technical resources as necessary.

7. Serves as Project Coordinator for in-house development or implementation of vendor-based automated systems. Develops objectives through research to ensure quality control of the project applications.

8. Prepares specifications from the vendor's system which is configured and/or program written.

9. Leads and/or serves on technical teams within the IS Department (such as interfaces or network analysis) which, through teamwork, contributes to positive outcomes for client departments. ​

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, System/Industrial Engineering or related field, with emphasis of study in systems analysis and design of software solutions required.

2. Required minimum of three years of experience (for each of the following):

• in systems analysis and/or programming with project management or leadership responsibilities 

• with intermediate skills in oral and written communication including analysis, preparation and report presentation.

• communicating, motivating, and organizing projects under tight timelines.

 

OR

1. Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

2. Required minimum of five years of experience (for each of the following):

• in systems analysis and/or programming with project management or leadership responsibilities.

• with personal computers and PC application and development software.

• with structured programming techniques, networking and database methodologies.

• with intermediate skills in oral and written communication including analysis, preparation and report presentation.

• communicating, motivating, and organizing projects under tight timelines.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Experience in airline information systems environment

Bilingual (Spanish)

Willing and able to travel internationally
